Mick Claxton
General Manager, Overseas Sales

Mick started in the drainage business in 1968 with one of Lincolnshire's largest agricultural drainage contractors. In 1975 he set up his own company to install drainage and irrigation systems for farmers in Lincolnshire and Yorkshire.

After selling his business in 1987 he continued to work as an agricultural drainage and irrigation design consultant until he joined Shelton in 1998.

As General Manager he is involved in all aspects of running the company including overseas sales, and development of new techniques and machinery. In this roll he travels to the USA mainland Europe and Scandinavia where he has given presentations on all aspects of sportsturf drainage.

Richard Clark
UK & Ireland Sales Manager

Richard comes from a farming family and after gaining a BSc from Reading University in Agriculture he worked on several farms in Australia, Spain & England. Richard joined Shelton in August 2000 and is responsible for machine sales in the UK & Ireland, including machinery demonstrations and commissioning new machines. He has an in-depth knowledge of the Shelton range of equipment and has helped develop many of the machines from drawing board to manufacture.

Edward Gilbert
Contracts & Hire Manager

Ed grew up on the family farm, and went on to study Agriculture at Riseholme College, where he gained National and Higher National Diplomas in Agriculture. He gained lots of experience working on farms, before joining British Sugar on the Agricultural Research & Development team. With BASIS and FACTS qualifications he has a good understanding of agronomy. He joined Sheltons in 2007 where he is responsible for all aspects of the Hire and Contracting operations, which is where the Shelton equipment is developed, and is also involved with machine sales and demonstration activities.

Charlotte Poucher MAAT
Finance Officer

Charlotte grew up working on the family farm and then went to Riseholme College, where she obtained a BTEC National Diploma in Business Studies and Finance in Agriculture. She started her career as PA to the MD at GW Padley Ltd but then returned to finance as the County Finance Officer for Pre-School Learning Alliance, a charity organisation, before joining Sheltons in 2006. Charlotte then attended evening classes at college to study the AAT Accounting Qualification and, two years later, successfully qualified as an Accounting Technician.
Charlotte deals with all the financial and administration aspects of the company; as well as looking after the guys in the office!!
